Scaling once a year is necessary for overall health of your teeth and gums. Hard deposits like the ones you mentioned don’t go with just regular brushing so a professional cleaning once yearly is a must. Scaling does NOT cause any weakness of teeth or gums, in fact it does just the opposite. It keeps your gums in a optimum healthy state which means your bones in turn are healthy to support your teeth firmly.

cleaning your tooth or scaling will not damage ur enamel in anyways as enamel is the hardest part of your body. during scaling the scaler tip vibrates at certain oscillations which removes the tar and makes your teeth cleaned and the sensitivity is for a couple of days which reduces once the tissue rejoins with the surface of tooth. a full mouth cleaning would cost u around 650

The deposits that you are talking about cannot be removed by tooth brushing and professional cleaning by a procedure of ultrasonic scaling will definitely be required. This procedure not only makes your teeth look cleaner and improves your smile but also improve the gum health drastically. With the latest techniques the enamel is not abraded by this procedure and Temporary sensitivity can occur for which medicated toothpaste can be prescribed. Regards
