Teeth Cleaning
I am wondering what are the beat practice for teeth cleaning... I have been to a dentist who only used a manual dental tool to scrape deposits off from my teeth one by one. For the others, I also went to one using a powerful hand tool that made a loud noise (maybe an automatic scraper). I don’t know much about detal tool but really curious to hear if there is any clear benefits using one versus the other?

Ultrasonic scalers are the standard equipment worldwide for cleaning of teeth.
There can, however, be a variety of different settings and methods for efficient and effective cleaning using these scalers.
Hand scaling is used in addition to ultrasonic scalers in certain areas where the teeth may be excessively sensitive to the vibrations of the ultrasonic scalers.
Health Tips
A surface rather than a pointed tip is generally preferred for scaling except in very limited areas where the hygienist may use a tip.
