Decayed tooth can be saved and restored to natural form and function by Root canal Treatment and other accessory procedures, if it has enough remaining structure and good prognosis. Saving natural tooth is always a conservative option than removing tooth. But if the affected tooth is badly decayed and cannot be saved, it should be removed and replaced by bridge or implant. However, definite diagnosis and treatment plan, total time duration of procedure, cost, and process will depend on your clinical and radiographic examination.
Next Steps
Visit the dentist for definite clinical evaluation and treatment.
Health Tips
Brush twice a day. Maintain good oral hygiene.

Hello Can you please post the picture as it will be helpful to see the extend of damage. As far as treatment is concern visit your dentist get checked  they can provide you with option like RCT, CROWN, IMPLANT and so on regarding the amount of tooth structure remaining. Getting extraction and placing a new one is the last resort The best treatment to replace a missing tooth is via implants, 2 stages of operations in 6 months duration.

Hi, There are three options open to you if you want to replace the missing molar . 1. Dental implant 2. Fixed partial denture (bridge) 3.Removable partial denture I would not suggest option 3 for a single missing tooth. The best would be a dental implant but it will also be the most expensive. There are a variety of implants in all sorts of price ranges .There will be minor surgery to place the implant and a long waiting period(weeks to months) for the implant to integrate with bone.Speak to your dentist and make an informed choice. A less expensive option would be a FPD .However this would entail preparing the teeth on either side of the missing tooth to receive two crowns basically forming a bridge. Hope this helps
