Tension and stress
My mom is 67 years. Although things are not so bad but she's tense due to family issues, financial and otherwise. For last 2 days her BP shot up to 90_180. She never had a history of BP and physically very active. Her blood sugar levels have always been normal. But she is losing weight and always tense. Family doctor has not diagnosed any illness and advised to take rest and not be paranoid about family matters. What do we do now and how to keep her away from tension

Hello, It is very important that you please seek a consultation with a psychiatrist near you for your mother. The behaviours mentioned by you at her age can be a harbinger of dementia or Depression. There are significant disorders which will require a detailed assessment and further management. Hence please do not hesitate or delay in seeking help. Hope this helps you. Best wishes for your health and future.
