Tetanus injection
My son yesterday was cut by a rusty old table fan on his arm and it bled a little which looked like a scratch. Do he need a tetanus toxoid injection. Last year in Jun he received tetanus toxoid injection. Also I want to know is there any difference between tetanus booster dose and TT. my son did not receive booster dose.

TT not required since previous dose was less than five years ago. The TT booster dose is taken at 10yrs and 16yrs of age.The booster is always the secondary dose(non primary) given to a child.

Yes , he should take tetanus injection as the last dose was 1 year back. Booster doses usually consist of multiple vaccins.
