Local doctors are suggesting RCT but I am confused whether a RCT should be done to a 10 yr old. Wouldn't the teeth regrow since she is just 10yr old?
Is RCT advised for kids?

kindly specify for which teeth rct was suggested . as 10 years old has mixed dentition need to specify which teeth needs rct. according to the xray takenand cavity extent rct can be suggested for kids . if it is done for primary teeth its called as pulpectomy/pupotomy dependinng upon the procedure. for permanent teeth it called rct. ideally rct is advisable for any one whowish to save their teeth.
Next Steps
xray needed to evaluate the extent of caries.

Hi.. hope you are doing well.
As you are saying it is first molar it means you know it’s her permanent tooth. Once caries affect the tooth it can not be reversed so it’s better to get it treated. Since it is paining so better to get RCT done and after that crown placement can be done.
I know you are worried about your child but it is necessary to get her treatment done ASAP.
Yes why not.
RCT should be done.
If it is a permanent tooth...it will not regrow
If it is a milk teeth then it will but it is always advisable not to leave the cavity untreated. This can cause it to spread to the growing permanent teeth
Next Steps
donot delay at all
visit a nearby Dentist and get RCT down asap
