Apply ice compression, avoid sport for a few days and do regular stretching. Also take anti-inflammatories like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac, make sure you do not have gastritis/ulcer, no allergies or asthma.and take it after a meal.
The bruising may get worse in a day or two (size may increase) that is nothing to worry.
Even when you return to sport do it gradually and slowly increase activity level.
In my opinion u are suffering from muscular spasm which is caused by pulling of thigh muscle... u can go for a new technique known as dry needling done with a help of sterile needle which is being inserted intramuscularly and muscle will be stimulated by moving the needle to and fro a muscle twitch will take place and u will be relieved by pain...it will take 3 to 5 days treatment and u will be fine...take care get well soon
Next Steps
Consult a physiotherapist who does this technique
Health Tips
Cold fermentation is mandatory after this technique
