Thinning of hair
Hi I come from a profession of media, I recently am facing hair thinning. I am not bald as such, the hair texture is inherited by my mother who has thin hair but my roots are lesser. I notice that when I side sweep my hair the scalp is seen bit more than usual, my diet habits are strict, there is exercise and the hair is very healthy. Its only the upper crown and over all texture of hair being thin. I do not want to go for hair fillers or hair fibers. Is there any other safe method to get through this problem? Another doctor suggested biotin and vitamin email capsules which I took for a month. No such improvement. Pls suggest the safest and best method and costing if possible.

From your description(hair thinning and crown part  affected), I can make out that you are suffering from female pattern hair loss which is mainly due to gene and hormone. There may be other causes of hair fall associated like stress, vitamin deficiencies, some other nutrition derangement, thyroid problem, etc. We need to examine your scalp to find out the grade of alopecia and also to rule out other causes of hair fall by doing simple tests like hair pull test, etc.
Next Steps
We need to do blood tests to find out deficiencies, if any and based on the level of deficiency we need to treat them.Taking multivitamins and iron will not help if you don't have these deficiencies. Plus the dose of vitamins in these supplements is not sufficient to correct the deficiency.
Health Tips
I would suggest you to go through my article "Routine Hair Care is Not Rocket Science" in my practo healthfeed section. Also read about I-PRP with Dermaroller therapy for hair loss.

Thanks for the query. FPB is an increasing problem in today's society. Hair care is a daily ritual shaped by age, gender and internal health. The treatment typically consists of topical lotion (Minoxidil). Based on the cause of hair loss, certain specific medications can also be started. It also depends on the age of the patient and if planning for conception or not. Various issues need to be decided before initiating the treatment. The dosage and duration is decided by your dermatologist. Hair fall treatment needs proper assessment to find the cause and to address it specifically. A trichoscan and trichogram are objective methods of assessment and is highy recommended, though it is difficult to find a clinic which offers that. Hair fall treatments consist of arresting the hair fall and subsequently adding density and improving the texture and quality. You need to be patient with the treatment protocol as it takes months to see initial improvement. Certain dermatologists supplement biotin, hair serum and advice procedures like PRP therapy which may accelerate the rate of hair growth. PRP needs multiple sessions roughly at 6 weeks intervals. PRP therapy is increasingly being accepted by dermatologists all over the world. Apart from active pharmaceutical medicines, a healthy diet and lifestyle is mandatory to achieve results. A month supplementation alone of biotin will not help.
Next Steps
Start on biotin supplements and food rich in iron content. Use a milder shampoo and consider frequent shampooing and conditioning.
