My wife is 5 months pregnant and she has severe throat infection and congestion,can she take antibiotics like Augmentine 625 or some Amoxcillin tabs plz suggest its safe for the baby

Please show physician and him decide as to what antibiotics has to be given.
They know very well which antibiotic to be given depending on the severity .
They also know which is safe in pregnancy.
Also please let her gargle thrice a day.
Avoid spicy and hot /cold food.
To avoid stale food.
