Throat irritation
Tightness in the throat since 5 years. Excess white thick mucous. Lump feeling inside throat while swallowing saliva. Occasional irritation and burning in throat since 1 year. No significant difficulty in swallowing food. On Ayurvedic MEDICINES  for 'IBS' since 3 months.

U seem to be having laryngopharyngeal reflux. This is secondary infection and irritation in the throat due to acid reflux from your stomach. U need to take antacids and dietary and lifestyle modifications. Eat less quantity at night. Avoid spicy hot oily foods. Eat more of fruits and vegetables. Avoid lying down after food for at least an hour.. Avoid tea and coffee. Your symptoms will slowly decrease and you may be relieved. If still persistent then please show an ENT specialist nearby
