Acid reflux reading to upper respiratory problems is very significant. It causes long term damage and medicines give only temporary relief. You need an ultrasound of the abdomen, and an endoscopy. If reflux is severe or there is a hiatus hernia a simple surgery can fix it and you will be free of medication.
Next Steps
Consult a surgeon.
