Thyroid adenomas
My mother was suffering from cough and cold 4 weeks back then after she is complaing about sore throat and feel want to clean her throat. then we go for consultation about 2 weeks ago dr. confirm that it is normal due to cough and cold. later he confirmed that there is there is thyroid adenoma and symtoms is not associated with thyroid adenoma. he advice few test like thyroid panel, thyroid usg and FNAc. later report comes that shows normal thyroid hormones, usg left thyroid nodules & FNAC confirm colliod nodude with cystic change old hemmorage. now doctor tell we have to go for surgery. kindly help

Your mother is having simple benign colloid nodule of thyroid gland. It is no way related to throat symptoms. Since it is a benign nodule surgery is not mandatory. If she does not have any cosmetic problems because of thyroid swelling she should avoid undergoing surgery
