Tinea cruris for 8 months
Sir i have tinea cruris i have used several oral medicines and tubes including including terbinafine for 28 day but didnt affect may be coz i was always sweaty. Then i changed doctor and he prescribed itraconazole 200 mg with levocitrizine dihydrochloride and terbinafine plus mometasone at night and sertaconazole at morning. I m on these medication for almost 25 days. But the dark black scars are as it is. I forgot to metion, in between these two treatment i used a salicylic based ointment which gave me a quick relief from the redness, swelling and pain and the black scars developed after that are not changing a bit. What do i do, should i continue the medication as doctor said it would take 8 weeks or i should take a second opinion. And from past 28 days i almost keep myself dry using clomitrazole powder except for an hour when i am at gym and i do take a shower right after gym. I am taking proper hygeine. Please help i am still a struggler preparing for job, i am broke.

That salicylic based cream you have used will be a strong steorid which must have caused damage to the skin. You should not self treat with such creams. Please call me or send photos using online consult option for proper examination diagnosis and treatment.
