Tongue ulcer/chaffing

Asked for Male, 9 Years

My son has a tongue chaffing, its not an ulcer and its in the centre of tongue before throat region. Its very painful and he cannot eat. Pls suggest what home remedy/ any medicine as doctor not available on Sunday.
