Tongue yeast infection
I have had a white tongue for over 6 months now. appears like white thick creamy layer on the tongue in the morning. reduces after cleaning, but never goes away completely, tongue is always white. i want medicine for yeast infection now.

White tongue can be due to following reasons - 1)Dehydration 2)Poor oral hygiene 3)Illness or infection 4)Dry mouth 5)Candida yeast infection (oral thrush) The commonest cause is dehydration or dry mouth which is breeding ground for bacteria. In fact if you don't brush your tongue and teeth twice a day you are increasing the risk of white tongue. White tongue is also due to an overgrowth of candida , a fungus that causes can didi as candidiasis or oral thrush.It can be scraped off by peeling.
Next Steps
Patient should maintain his oral hygiene and brush his tongue and teeth twice daily. He can use candid mouth paint locally to the affected areas twice daily for 1 months.
Health Tips
Should quit any bad habits like smoking, tobacco and related products and also get his complete cleaning of teeth done by any dental surgeon.
