Unnecessary supplements are not helpful. Excess iron in body is not eliminated by any means. Better to improve dietic intake of iron in the form of jaggery, dates etc. If want to give supplements for promotion of health, use herbal Formulations with less side effects.

Avoid unnecessary medicines. There are few side effects with iron drops. Whenever you Visit to your nearest pediatrician & ask him/her about need to give it.Meanwhile you can encourage your child to eat iron rich foods like dark green leafy vegetables, fruits, non- vegetarian food ( if you are non-vegetarian), dry fruits (carefully)
