Tonsilectomy complications
It's been 24 days since my tonsillecomy and I still can't taste food properly. I also have tightness on the left side of the throat which feels like it's stuck or pulling all the time and is horribly panic inducing. I am 28 years old and female. Is this normal or should I be concerned

Usually after tonsillectomy especially in adults pain may be prolonged for more than a week and sometimes couple of weeks. Sometimes because of fibrosis of tissues in post operative period can cause prolonged pain. Usually this will settle down over time. You can take over the counter analgesics for symptomatic pain relief
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
