Tooth ache during filling
I was having tooth ache while eating or chewing so I visited dentist .Doctor has filled the cavity but still the pain dint go .After a month I visited another doctor and he said that the infection has spread and tooth requires root canal treatment for which he asked me to come in the next visit .When I went for RCT ,doctor gave me injection and tried removing the filling . However, after so much of numbness also I was screaming due to severe pain .Seeing this doctor couldn't remove the filling properly and had asked me to take antibiotics for some days .Even after antibiotics dose I am still having pain .I am not sure what shall I do ? Is it suggested to go for RCT or tooth extraction .? Will my problem get increase if I go for RCT?

Hello Can you please share your X-ray then it will be more appropriate to tell... See the pain threshold vary from patient to patient and according to spread of infection... As per now complete your antibiotics doase and go for RCT the doctor will anesthetize the area and you won't feeling that much amount of pain.

Hi, It appears that you had a deep cavity which has progressed to a root canal infection. So now the best treatment would be a root canal tratment. It is unfortunate that you had a bad experience while removing the filling. This can happen when there is infection as the pain threshold of the patient is lowered and the local anaesthesia is not as effective. Hopefully the antibiotics would have controlled the infection to the point that it would be possible to remove the filling ,enter the canal and complete the RCT.Please do not get the tooth extracted. Hope that helps
