Hello
If the doctor has suggested it’s best to go for removal because third molar if stuck in bone it’s better to remove as it will damage your other teeth

Reasons to consider wether you should be opting for extraction are :-
-1-ur back teeth serve the purpose of chewing , so we usually opt for saving the third molar only if it can serve the purpose of chewing after treatment.
-2-it causes an interference in your normal teeth alignment leading to disturbance of ur joint (TMJ)
--3-it is mostly situated in a manner that it has a poor access resulting in compromised treatment by the doctor .
Plz consider the following reasons and acknowledge the fact that sometimes extraction can be a better choice than saving .
Still if u want to save it then get the reason for ur toothache diagnosed , if it's a decay you may then need a filling or a root canal treatment. If the reason is inflammation of ur gums u may then need scaling .
