Tooth problem
The concern is regarding lower left molar. It is Rooct canal treated and the crown came out. X ray revealed that the root canal is not up to the mark and the Caries has reached the furcation area. Doctors suggest either 1) Extraction followed by an implant or 2) Re RCT Although, doctors say that the prognosis of repeat RCT is poor. Should I attempt to save my tooth. How long will it last after so much of hard work and investment?

Hello mam, i think option one will be best for you it u cn afford dental implants. Your Dentist has alteady suggested best options to you. Re-rct will not gv 100% results for sure in all cases. You have furcation involvement in your tooth already so prognosis is poor. Think about it.

Crown came out... Well... But it is not the reason for root canal failure... You better take a second opinion..is that tooth paining?... What complaints you have with that tooth matters... X-ray will help in diagnosis... If it needs re-RCT, you plz go for it... It saves your tooth... Extraction and again replacing it by a implant or bridge... Will be your next option... If Re-RCT is a failure...
Next Steps
Consult endodontist.

Madam it would be more clear with an xray...Re-RCT can be advised but if it has reached to furcation area it will be better to extract it and undergo implant.
