Tooth Straitening using Braces
I am looking for braces to make my tooth align properly. I have consulted a orthodontist, but he said they will need to extract my 4 teeth to get this treatment done smoothly. But extracting 4 teeth is making me feel sick, I am not sure is it right way for me. I have also seen few videos which suggests tooth extraction for orthodontic treatment can result in changing face structure. Please suggest if it's ok for me to go for this treatment.

Hi sir... In case of tooth alignmemt procedure if you dont have enough space it is mandatory to extract your teeth to get better result... It doesnot affect your facial structure.... If you have space in your dentition then no need to extract teeth....

Hi For your teeth alignment procedure ,if there is no adequate space for movement we need to extract some teeth which will be at non visible zone . After removal only you will get the expected result of alignment.kindly proceed it.

It depends hoe much allignment is required! Its completely harmless to extract tooth. If you are not satisfied with the plan, consult another orthodontist but listen his treatment plan before pitching in your extraction concern Face changes occur if your teeth are way too forward and trust me its favourable always!!! Ask them to show some before after pics of similar cases You will get an idea or you can ask for simulation They can show it in 3d how you will look post ortho Though that will incur extra charges

Hi...... The correct diagnosis and treatment can only be decided by the Clinical examination. For Orthodontic patients like you an OPG is must.As you are saying that 4 teeth has to be removed according to your dentist this indicates that you are having crowding of your teeth. Yes in case of crowding generally premolars are extracted.
Next Steps
Take a second opinion if you are not sure

For alignment of teeth there are many options The dentist must have suggested extraction of 4 teeth may be because space must be required to align them You can ask the same dentist if there is a second option or consult another orthodontist who is a specialist in this and also get a full mouth OPG DONE

Whether or not you need extractions can be said only after seeing your X-rays and careful examination of your teeth and facial structure. Clinical examination is required for that. If you are in doubt you can take a second opinion.
Health Tips
The first premolars are frequently removed in ortho treatment to get space for aligning your teeth
