Toothache with ear pain
Hello, the normal body temperature of my wife has always been on the higher side. These days (since a month) there are occasions when her entire set of teeth hurts out of the blue (without intaking anything cold) and usually disappears in 1-2 hours. Recently that same pain affects her ear too. Any suggestions on who should I consult - a dentist or an ent specialist. Regards

Pain from the teeth especially lower molar teeth may radiate to the ear. As her pain starts in the teeth,it is recommended you consult a dentist to rule out a tooth problem like a deep caries or a wisdom tooth problem before thinking of an ENT .

Preferably you should consult both. An ENT specialist will rule out any primary problem with the ear. And dentist can evaluate the teeth and the gums to identify any cause which can make the pain radiate to the ear region. The treatment can be suggested after the proper diagnosis has been established. Delaying the treatment will definitely not be recommended. Regards.
