My baby is 2 1/2 years old and we are travelling to US ...during flight he might get ear pain so can I give flexor before travel...is it safe to give flexor without temperature

Ear ache during take off and landing is due to air pressure changes.
Give something to drink(swallow,basically) during the above,that will will equalize air pressure in ear.
No medicine is needed.
