Tuberculous lymphadenitis
Patient finished 6 months course ...2 months of akurit-4 &  4 months of  akurit-3 ... which test should be done to know that infection is completely cured or not??

Hi It depends on size, clearance and relief of symptoms of lymph node. And you might need USG lymph node for assessment. Have a discussion with pulmonologist

The resolution of infection is seen by resolution of lymph node swelling , absence of fever, adequate weight gain , etc . If there were Xray shadows earlier, they may show resolution too if the treatment is adequately completed.

TB is  never cured completely Only no. Of tb bacilli are significantly reduced. This is achieved by atd ..

please talk to ur doctor... and plan out the tests according to the site of infection
