We cannot jump to the diagnosis of oral cancer without a proper clinical evaluation and a biopsy. An oral ulcer normally heals within 7 to 10 days but if the duration is longer it is something to be taken seriously. And by that I mean a proper clinical examination and detail clinical history will be required. And if at all there is a clinical suspicion a biopsy will be recommended. It is unethical to make the diagnosis of oral cancer without a histopathology report. You can ask her to apply anaesthetic ointment like dologel CT for temporary symptomatic relief. Try to schedule an appointment with the dentist as soon as possible if it does not Heal within the mentioned duration. Regards.
