your symptoms are suggestive of a mild neural tension in the ulnar nerve, probably due to a sustained abnormal position of your wrist, elbow and neck.please do mention whether the numbness is continuous or intermittent and is there any weakness in your ring and little finger.do you experience any difficulty in using your hand.
Next Steps
use a soft foam pad to rest your elbow whenever you sit for a long time. use a mouse pad for your wrist while using computer. avoid bending your neck forward for a long duration during any activity. In the standing position with your both hands placed on your waist, start performing mild shoulder shrugs for 5 times.do this exercise for once in three hours.in the same position you can perform slow ,gentle, mild neck side bending to both left and right sides, and slow neck rotations
Health Tips
Avoid strenuous work like lifting weights, cycling, squeezing, pushing, pulling movements in the affected hand.If you experience any weakness in your fingers and hand you have to take up muscle re-education treatment in physiotherapy along with an appropriate splinting for your wrist
