Umbilical Hernia
My father aged 67 years has swelled navel from the last 7 years without any pain or any other symptoms, I visited local doctor he checked and advised that surgery is only solution, please advise which specialist to consult for this problem.

Umbilical hernia means there is a defect in abdominal wall muscles and intra abdominal content come out of this defect with time this defects keep on enlarging and the intestine or content can get stuck into it leading to serious complications this is why when it is small in early stage it should be operated and repaired probably with mesh.
