Unable to conceive baby
Hello, I am 35 year old male married recently. We are trying to conceive baby. We are trying to conceive baby for last 2+  months but failed to do so. I recently did my sperm count test. Below are the result for same with keeping abstinence 2 days. Volume = 2 ml Sperm Count = 23.1 million/ml. Motality within 1 Hr Grade A - Rapid Progressive - 40% Grade B - Slow Progressive - 10% Grade C - Non Progressive - 5 % Grade D - Non Motile - 45 % Motality within 2 Hr Grade A - Rapid Progressive - 30% Grade B - Slow Progressive - 10% Grade C - Non Progressive - 5 % Grade D - Non Motile - 55 % Abnormal form of sperms Total Abnormal - 6% Abnormal Head - 1 % Abnormal MidSpace - 1% Abnomal Tail - 0 % Mixed defect - 4% Is my sperm count normal ? Is there any defects ? Can you please suggest , Advice ??

Your semen analysis parameters are with in normal limits. Even if all the factors are normal in both the partners, the chance of conception is 4-7% per cycle. Infertility is only tagged after 1 year of regular intercourse without using any contraception. 86% couples conceive with in 1 year of marriage and 92% conceive in 2 years. So do not get disheartened as you have tried only for 2 months.

Count , motility and morphology are normal
Next Steps
There are some defects like sperm DNA fragmentation that are not seen in semen analysis by WHO . Having said that testing is expensive and taking precautions cheaper

To improve these defects 1. Avoid alcohol and smoking 2. Avoid laptop on lap 3. Take shower twice a day 4. Frequent ejaculation 5. Corrections of thyroid or diabetes 6. Fertisper once every night for 3 months 7. Loose undergarments and avoid heat
