Unhealthy obsession to finding "the one"
I've been actively dating for over a year but none of them worked out. I'm so obsessed about finding my future life partner right now and that everything in life is now irrelevant to me. I'm not enjoying life as much, I don't feel like waking up in the morning & I think I come across as a little desperate. To top it all, my parents are pressuring me that time is running out and my top priority should be finding my life partner. How do I get rid of this obsession & mild form of depression?

Finding a partner is not a race. Haste is waste!  Relax when the time is right and you are ready to welcome her she will be there. Its good to rule out the possibility of clinical depression. Also most of the time unknowingly we operate out of past experiences. Need to check for that as well! Let me know if I could be of any help. Take care!!
Next Steps
Take professional help.
Health Tips
Take good care of yourself physically and emotionally.  Don't be harsh on yourself.

You need to consult a Clinical Psychologist to rule out Depression and for evaluation of your thoughts. You cannot find an ideal couple who meets up your expectations. One needs to learn to accommodate his needs and expectations.
