Upper back Muscle Tear
My brother got muscle tear near upper back during weight lifting. He is taking hot bags and ultrasonic therapy from physiotherapist since past 1 week to cure it but it seems as if the torn muscle is not cured and Is there any need of MRI? If not how long it will take to get cured ? Is there any medicine to cure it. ?

Like the answers? Consult privately with the doctor of your choice

MRI or CT scan may give a better insight on the problem. If it is a muscle tear( especially back ) then it usually take more time, usually 4 to 5 weeks. Complete rest with proper medication will definitely help.
