Urticarial hives
I have been suffering from urticaria since early childhood. There's no specific pattern to which the hives start to emerge. Whenever they appear I've been prescribed to take antihistamines (citrizine). They never last for more than a week. However lately there have been frequent occurrence of the urticarial hives and even after continuous intake of antihistamines they keep on erupting at different places, this is ongoing since last 2 weeks. Is it possible I'll have to consider higher doze of antihistamines or change the composition.

You are suffering from what Dermatologist call urticaria. Common causes are food allergy, infection or drugs taken for some condition. It presents with itching resulting in formation of red rashes which we call hives or wheals. Although in most cases cause remains unknown in spite of a thorough search. It can be treated with medicines so that you do not get any new hives. The treatment should be prolonged until it resolves which usually takes 1 to 6 months. Please call me or contact me through online consult option for further details and treatment..
