Hi all,
I use nuva ring as a form or birth control. According to the usage, I am supposed to have removed it every three weeks, but since I was travelling and couldn't get a replacement I have left it in one month past the three weeks recommended time. Will this cause serious side effects? What can I do? Can I remove it now and wait for a week and insert a new one? Thank you so much

The contraceptive effect lasts for only 3-5 days after it expires. So u can become pregnant after that. U can stop, wait for bleeding to occur and then insert a new one. No other serious side effects.
