Uti bacteria & candida
Dear Dr. I had uti symptoms- pain while urinating frequently urination and lower abdomen pain. ( Next day after contact with husband) Dr .did urine culture Results were insignificant growth of coagulase negative staphylococcus for which Dr. Prescribed Doxy( sensitive) for 5 days twice n once for another 5 days. Few days later another urine fungal culture came. Results were candida parapsilosis grown in 7 days if culture. Prescribed fluanazole( sensitive) for a week once a day . Dr. Said these are uncommon species. I'm scared. Will it be cured?

Don’t worry. UTI following physical contact is not uncommon. Coagulase negative staph is contaminant. You need treatment of fungal infection. That you have already taken, that’s ok. Don’t be scared, maintain local hygiene , always wash your private parts before and after intercourse, always try to pass urine after intercourse as well. Don’t worry, it will be alright.
