Vaccination/immunization
Dear Doctor, I am in great confusion for pneumococcal vaccine for my son, he is 2 years old. We have given him prevenar 13 in his previous months and booster at 15 months Now which pneumococcal vaccine is advised.- pneumovax 23 or prevenar 13? Confused in these 2, as gathered knowledge about pnuemovax 23, it is said that it is not advisable unless child has high risk disease? Or it is advised to adults only... Pls clear my doubt.

If you have taken 3 primary doses of Prevenar and then one booster at 15 months, you do not need any further doses of pneumococcal vaccine in a normal healthy baby
