We had our baby immunised with painless DPT vaccine but the people around us are very apprehensive about its result, and so are the doctors' reviews on the internet. Now we are confused whether we had taken a right decision or otherwise. kindly throw some light on the effects of DaPT and DTaP vaccines i.e. Painful & Painless vaccines.

Both medicines are good.
There was controversy about immunogenicity of painless in primary schedule, but comparatively not too high difference. After 3 doses, if painless has immunogenicity to 92% than routine one has 97%, hardly any difference.
So many Pediatrician do not recommend painless in primary schedule, few gives option to parents, and few insists, depending upon there experience and thought process.
In developed countries, even primary schedule is painless vaccine, doesn't that mean it is inferior quality? No, it's a type of medicine.
Infact many babies who shows allergic reaction to previous vaccine, needs to receive painless version.

Just relax, at your level, you haven't done anything wrong and non recommended.
