For the past week, I have had itching in my vaginal area. Today I looked down there and saw that the area was was very red with small little bumps in my labia. I live with my mother and she has genital herpes so I was wondering if I could have gotten it from her even though she didn’t have it while she was pregnant with me.

Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease so most probably it is a bacterial infection.
