My 2 yr old Nephew is having episodes of epilepsy again after few months. Since birth he had small seizures which were stopped after some steroid treatment. But in the past 3 days . Different episodes of seizures have started for doctor has recommend Vigabartin. Should we take this medicine as I read that it can cause vision loss.

Though the diagnosis and other reports not mentioned, Definitely need to continue taking medication as advised , the change in medication is due to change in type of seizures..
And about visionloss.. it is the risk of vision loss..
Benefit of taking vigabatrin for seizures is much more than risk of vision loss ..
Meanwhile regular ophthalmic check up is advised
