If mild, avoid unnecessary medicine and give steam inhalations for cold and cough and decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down.
Use paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required.
Most fevers in children are viral in origin and take 3-7 days to subside completely.
If not improving in 3-5 days OR accompanied by other symptoms like vomiting or loose motions or coughing and breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed, consult your paediatrician.

With nasivion baby nasal drops 1drop in each nostril 4 times a day for 3days
It will take it's own time to decrease cough cold.
