Visual aura
Dr mittal, or any other doctor who can help me, I have been suffering from visual auras somewhat similar to what happens during a ocular migraine. I see it with both eyes at the same time, it starts with a small blindspot with expands into a shimmering multi hued zigzag lines in a crescent shape. It flickers and expands in size in my visual field and within 5-10 minutes and then disappears slowly. But I never experience the headache. I have seen the doctor many times and they have diagnosed me with PVD and prescribed antiox tablets. They have also stated my retina to be fine. But these auras are not going away. My question is whether these auras are at all related to the PVD or should I see a neuro doctor. I do have floaters but no other symptoms and they do not bother me at all now but these auras really scare me.

What you describe is definitely migraine and not PVD.
Next Steps
Try taking tablet Vasograin as son as the aura begins...it should disappear and the headache should also go away with that if it is migraine....
Health Tips
if these are frequent in that case you should come for a consult

Not related to PVD. It could be a migraine like aura. It’s possible to have it without headache. Relax. Spend some time on yoga and meditation

Hello Your description of so called visual area is suggestive of migraine It is not related to PVD or floaters. If there is no headache and your retina is normal then there is nothing to worry Also get your eye pressure checked once Use lubricating eyedrop also

U need to have a retina periphery examined again by any retina specialist If floaters increase it can be early sign of retinal disease also since u have a Pvd u need to see a specialist . Unfortunately there are no medicines which can be prescribed Just make a note of your symptoms and if they increase visit nearby hospitals Most of the medical colleges are functioning
