Hello,         The commonest test done for Vitamin D level in blood is 25-hydroxy vitamin D. A level of 20 nanograms/milliliter to 50 ng/mL is observed normal. You have mentioned your level as 26, so you are within normal range. You are not in need to worry about your Vitamin D level as of now. However if you want to improve, the primary way is to utilize sunlight. Sunlight is the direct source of Vitamin D, your skin produce a pigment called 'melanin' which help in better absorption of vitamin D. So the primary advice is make sure you get contact with direct sunlight. Early morning sunlight from 7 to 10 and evening sunlight from 4 to 6 are luke warm, make sure you spend those time in sunlight.
