Vitamin D side effect or pregnancy?

Asked for Female, 28 Years

Hi my doctor put my on 50,000 IU of vitamin D once a week for 12 weeks. I took my first dosage last thursday, by Friday evening I started getting real nauseous, by Saturday afternoon I was nauseous again into the evening time. and then again Sunday evening. The nausea is only coming on when I eat or smell food. could this be a side effect from the Vitamin D I'm taking or does it sound more like an early pregnancy symptom as I should be starting my period in two days.
