My vitamin D3 level is just 12 but the doctor said it's fine. He prescribed me calcium tablets. I have been taking those tablets but not getting any better. He didn't prescribe me any vitamin D3. What to do?

Calcium tablets mostly have 1000IU of Vitamin D. This isnt enough for raising blood levels of the vitamin. Your levels are very low. It is important to restore the levels using vitamin D supplements. And then to take maintainance dose every month. Please share details of tablets you have taken already. Do NOT take vitamin D supplements without medical supervision as toxicity can occur with over consumption
Next Steps
Share your exact report. Were the levels measured in nmol/dl. Also what was the primary symptom for which you were tested? Because you said its not getting better.. What is the symptom not getting better? Hope to be able to help you with these. All the best.

For vitamin DE a level of 20 nanograms/milliliter to 50 ng/mL is considered adequate for healthy people. A level less than 12 ng/mL indicates vitamin D deficiency... You report have 12 so doctor say it's nothing... But if you can't get well by treatment then you have to ho for vitamin DE supplement...
Next Steps
take Calcirol 60000IU Softgels  weekly one capsule for 4 to 8 week.... it contains vitamin D3 60000 IU.. definitely you get well soon within 2 to 4 week and if you cant consult a doctor online on practo or chat with doctor.
