Vitamin D3 defieciency
I have hypothyroidism and under medication. My vit D3 level is 8.6ng/ml and calcium is 6 mg /dl .both are deficient. Should i take supplement for both?

Your D3 and calcium are severely low. You will require supplementation for both. We also need to determine causes for low calcium aside from low Vitamin D, for eg kidney function, issues with absorption of calcium , production of hormone PTH which controls body’s calcium and vitamin metabolism. etc. Low calcium can affect heart rate, cause seizures and spasms, muscle weakness and fatigue; and therefore it needs to corrected as soon as possible
