Vocal cord polyp
My father,age-54 was diagnosed with vocal polyp 3 yrs ago.Since he was asymptomatic except slight hoarseness in voice,no treatment was advised. But few days ago on endoscopy it became suspicious since its colour has changed into whitish which was normal coloured as its surrounding tissue 3yrs ago.I want to know about any demerits of surgery and if we should go for biopsy and its further investigation.

Every surgery has it's risk factor and anaesthetic risk..but surgery is recommended and histopathological examination should be done to rule out any malignancy..
