Babies usually vomit out some amount of milk in the form of white lumps (curdled milk), may be a teaspoonful or two after feeds or during burping. This is called 'possetting' which is normal. It reduces by the age of 9-10 months. To reduce the vomiting, after feeds keep baby in upright position for 15-20 mins, avoid tight diapers or clothing, avoid play/tummy time immediately after feeds.
Health Tips
You should be worried if- 1.Baby cries after feed, is in pain, arches her back 2. baby refuses feed 3. baby chokes/gags during feed 4. vomiting is frequent throughout the day 5. baby is not gaining weight as per schedule. These symptoms may suggest reflux disorder for which you may have to see a pediatrician.
