Diarrhea can cause dehydration which is dangerous. You should give ORS25 to 50 ml after each loose motion. If child looks more sick with sunken eyes, less urine, lethargic, unable to drink Then immediately go to hospital for drip. Also give zinc syrup 20 mg daily for 14 days Give breastfeeding more frequently Also give khichri, lassi and ripe banana. Walamycin should not be used without doctor advice. It is used for dysentery, blood in stools.
Next Steps
assess dehydration and start ORS or if child is more sick, go to hospital
Health Tips
breastfeeding is best for the baby.
