Ways to taper meds
I have become alright now but I just want to taper and stop my antidepressants which when I try to do in small doses makes me worse on 10th day. Just want to know that what is the way to taper a medicine if conventional way is not working. Like: 1.Is there any medicine which can be taken for support and can be stopped later like I was taking lithium600 but it didn't help. 2.Can I take another antidepressant of same or different class which doesn't have side effects which can be taken after stopping Escitalopram. If there is any other way then plz help. Plz answer in detail, I have written this much coz it means to me.

It is better not to taper the medications by your own. Your psychiatrist should only do that after seeing you in each session. It is dangerous to self medicate especially in case of psychiatric medications.
