My daughter is 20 months old...and she is not gaining enough weight...i am so worried about her health...and she is suffering from fever and cough right now...medication are going on for her illness...and still she is not eating food properly...what should i do to increase her weight? Please help...

Dear parents , According to me stop milk from 8amto8pm and give semisolid diet like Dal,dalia,khicdi alu kela rice,apple,upama,halwa,patolia,rab,kadi idle poha satu custard etc and from 8pmto8am give mother milk is preferable Don't give roti.

Give proper complementary feeding , cut down milk n juices n sweets, mulmin drops for 2 wks

Get her blood test once for Iron studies. Check her viatmin D3level ,LFTe,RFT thyroid hormone levels once. Plot her height and weight on growth chart by your pediatrician whether she is malnourished or healthy will be seen in growth chart. If she is fine in her chart then don't worry as your wanting of weight gain from your perspective may not be justified. Once test are done consult your pediatrician for supplement,iron appetizers Syrup etc and keep plotting weight and height Evey 1-3monthly. Also do stool and urine routine and microscope test.
