What causes lipoma
Hi I am 37 year old female, suddenly since a month I have noticed few small soft swelling on my forearm. They are soft and movable and does not pain. I have shown to a dermatologist and she says they are called lipoma and are harmless? They are because of fat deposits? kindly guide we why and how are these swellings caused? what are the main causes of such lipomas?

There is no specific cause. Some part of the body adult lipoma will get accumulated. That's all. It is asymptomatic to start with

It is asymtomatic.. No cause identified.. Get a ultrasounf scan to confirm lipoma Unless you notuce a growth or size change or pain or skin changes it is fine..
