Hcg a hormone which is indicator of pregnancy. It's starts to be present by a couple of day after pregnancy occurs. It keeps raising to high levels up to 20 weeks of pregnancy. Low levels can also be present due to tablets and injections. Therefore you must repeat the tests and if hcg keeps raising pregnancy is confirmed. The low levels are called weakly positive.
